Simon Childs

Simon oversees the technology practice at CDS Executive and is a co-founder of the company.
His experience in search covers software, hardware, semiconductor, carrier and networking services and other IT-related industries. His client list includes a mix of Fortune 1,000 companies, start-ups and Japanese venture companies, where he has successfully recruited country managers as well as functional heads across all areas.

Some example clients include Google, Tibco, Marconi, Micromuse, APC, Borland, GXS, SPSS and Software AG. Simon has successfully executed on Country Manager and other senior board level roles. He has also worked on many cross border searches, and has driven partner tie-ups across the Asia Pacific region.

Simon is a former Chief Inspector in the Royal Hong Kong Police serving in Commercial Crime Bureau as well as VIP Protection. He has also worked as an Operations Manager for a HK Trading company where he focused on opening new offices and hiring great teams across the region to deliver on exports to the European markets.

Simon is originally from England and has degrees in History from the University of East Anglia and in Business Administration from Henley Business School., UK. In his free time, Simon trains for endurance events and has participated in several marathons, triathlons and long distance walks.
