CDS is an executive search firm and collects and maintains a variety of personal and confidential information on our candidates and clients that allows us to execute effectively on consulting assignments. By using our services as either a client or a candidate you agree to the use of the data that we collect in accordance with this Privacy Policy. CDS Executive is committed to protecting the privacy of personal and confidential data. It handles this information with strict security measures that comply with Japanese law.

We are committed to protecting your privacy
We store information on clients and candidates in a secure proprietary database that is accessed only by CDS employees and affiliate companies. This data is stored with the appropriate data integrity and security measures as required by the Japanese law. Any storage of data or access that may be required by a vendor or third party will only allowed after checking that they meet our standards of security and ensuring they have signed a non disclosure agreement.

Information Collected
Categories of personally identifiable data include but are no limited to: career history, education history, professional experience, resume/CV, contact information, record of contact made and interview history. If you do not wish to disclose your personal information, CDS will be unable to provide you services, since employment, educational and other personal information is necessary in order to assess your employment opportunities.

It is not the policy of CDS to seek any sensitive information. Sensitive information includes data relating to race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or similar beliefs or trade union membership. If you do wish to provide sensitive information for any reason, CDS accepts your disclosure of this as explicit consent to use that information in the ways described in this Privacy Policy or as described at the point where you choose to disclose.

Information Use
In order to present candidates to potential employers and potential employers to candidate’s personal information may be shared. By choosing to share your personal information either on the website, directly to a CDS employee’s email or verbally to a CDS employee then you are effectively indicating your willingness to share this information with CDS and its affiliate companies and to be considered, when appropriate, for an employment opportunity with a client of CDS. If you object to your information being shared with CDS employees, affiliate companies and when appropriate to clients or if you do not want to benefit from the consulting services CDS provides please do not share any personal information with CDS.

CDS does not sell information to third parties and will only share information with CDS affiliates, approved vendors and clients/candidates unless required by law in a legal situation to do otherwise.

Personal information maybe used anonymously and in an aggregated form to put together industry, marketing, compensation and employment statistics. CDS also monitors IP addresses for security purposes, trend analysis, web site administration, user movement tracking and broad demographic information gathering for aggregate use. The IP address of the computer you use to access www.cds-executive.com is not linked to any personal information you provide on the Site.
