

Country Manager, Media Solutions & Technology Company
CDS Executive was retained by a UK based media solutions & technology company, that does a lot of work in the search marketing space, to find their new Country Manager. Working closely with the Regional Vice President of APAC we were asked to find a candidate who could build up their presence in Japan, increase revenue opportunities and lead marketing initiatives. Most importantly this candidate would need to provide leadership and vision for the Japan office, and develop the future business strategy with the Regional Vice President.
This was a challenging search as most of the qualified candidates in the space preferred to move into a role with more marketing responsibility as opposed to selling technology. We mapped the market in the first month and then worked closely with the client to build a compelling value proposition on the company and the role to educate candidates.
The client was able to comfortably attract and selected one of the finalist candidates and the search was completed successfully. We went on to also place their Business Development Director and Client Services Director, and we continue to support them as they grow their business in Japan.
Building a Team for a New Web Search Technology Company
CDS Executive was retained by this new market entrant to build its team from the top down; relationship that started in 2000 and is still active today. In the beginning as a new player in the Japan market we fought hard to 'win' business for them, to find and attract the top players in the Internet industry to help them build their foundation. Since then the company has continued to grow and has had one of the most successful internet-related IPO's ever. Our placement history includes the Country Manager, Vice President of Sales and the Chief Finance Office all of whom are still with the company.
