Building a Team for a Private Equity New Market Entrant
CDS Executive was retained by a Private Equity new market entrant, with a cutting edged business model targeting the intellectual property. They needed to build their company operations in Japan from the top down. CDS successfully built a very strong relationship with the client, and placed more than 70% of their Japan operation employees. Our placement history includes the top three key directors, a Patent Attorney, Head of Finance & HR, and other senior positions. As the business model is quite unique and it is a niche market, the client was initially struggling to attract candidates. We worked closely with the client to better understand the nuances of their business and were able to successfully attract key players in the market. Because of our deep relationship with the client were also able to find candidates with the right cultural fit. We continue to do key search work for them as they grow and expand in Japan.

Working with the regional Managing Director and local HR, we were able to quickly map this niche market and present a qualified and motivated list of bilingual security professionals in Japan as well as several from the region. The interview process included multiple rounds of meetings, video conferences and phone calls with key personnel in Japan and throughout the region leading to a successful placement.
